The Original Swamp Rabbit Blues Band! Greenville’s Best NEW Blues Band.

Formed in 2016, the brainchild of James Heaton, to render the need for a dirty fuzzed out blues band in the Upstate. Not satisfied with the local definition of Blues, James carried his trusty Fuzz pedal to his dear friend, Jim Sturges jr., a time master on drums.

After that they journeyed down a river of singers and bassists. With Beth Sparks on vocals and Tony Lodise on bass, the band was finally seeing its intended destiny.

Beth comes from a back ground of touring with Bluegrass bands, but has a deep love for blues, 80’s, and and classic rock,

Jim and Tony were founding members of the classic Blue City jazz trio. James was a founding member of The Contra Blues Band and Widow Lake.

With a deep affection for Hendrix, Gary Clark jr., The Rolling Stones, and Robert Johnson, SRBB plays classic blues and blues rock, and even 80’s (where appropriate) with a fuzzed out swamp groove wrapped tightly with a light jazz coating and the polished vocals of a Nashville flavored sweetness. Add a few Marshall amps and a dash of groove and you have Swamp Rabbit Blues Band.
